Most fly fishing sites include a lengthy catalog of the authors' bona fides, featuring high percentages of lifetimes spent in various bodies of water, travels to the four corners of the seven seas, and impressive certifications by three-letter acronymed governing bodies.
This is not one of those sites. I have been fly fishing since May, 2014, and am far older than the typical neophyte fisherperson. I have never fished in my life, aside from drunken experimentation in college with catfish, and had heretofore avoided the outdoors due to a distaste for the inevitable interaction with Nature. I work in the technology industry where I do things with computers that are ultimately meaningless.
I'm starting this blog because I enjoy writing, do not do enough of it, and feel that the struggles of a fumbling rookie might just be enjoyable.
